Strategy: Valkyrie[]

Valkyrie is best used in defensive tactics, as it can safely teleport the allied King to another location. Upgraded, this piece is given more possible King teleport locations, providing greater security. This unit creates a fairly strong synergy with RoyalGuard, a unit which can teleport to any location adjacent to ally King, making attacking the King difficult until these protective units are killed. In addition, the Valkyrie's long-range move/attack squares give great attack and forking potential, making it a very versatile piece.

Strength: Valkyrie[]

Valkyrie has an unusual move/attack pattern, making it difficult to predict and defend against. In addition, the Valkyrie can teleport the king immediately to a safe place, and forcing the opponent to kill Valkyrie first before attacking the king. The Valkyrie is also unblockable, making its movements easily reaching from end to end of the board. The Valkyrie's ability makes it a viable counter to the minotaur.

Weakness: Valkyrie[]

The Valkyrie, despite having a large movement range, has very few squares it is actually capable of moving to - it is fairly easy to tie down if one plans ahead. Additionally, it's King teleport squares can be easily predicted by the opponent - a smart opponent will have little trouble covering these squares. Valkyrie also does not gain extra attacks until its final upgrade, making its + and ++ dubious in their uses despite having extra king teleportation spots.

Due to its passive, it cannot be used offensively early on since it cannot attack, move, or even teleport king until at least one ally piece is lost.
