Strategy: Minotaur Edit

The position swap is a powerful ability, since it ignores defenses and renders the opponent's King often very vulnerable. Minotaurs can be used both defensively (e.g. blocking fields for enemy Champions) and offensively (e.g. by guarding friendly units or acting as bait). Note that even if killing the enemy king is not possible after the swap (The enemy teleports it with a valkyrie, for instance), the minotaur will still likely be in a position to kill another champion, leaving the enemy down two champions and you with no losses.

Strength: Minotaur Edit

Minotaurs can be very efficient for controlling enemy Champions, because a lot of players avoid losing a Champion to a Minotaur (thereby triggering the position swap). Due to this, it is able to powerfully defend a high-value champion such as Queen or Dragon, and even your king. Minotaur also works well with Behemoth since only champions can kill it.

Weakness: Minotaur Edit

Minotaurs are vulnerable to long range attacks, especially diagonal ones. They are relatively expensive (10 points for the unupgraded version), while both movement and attack range are very limited. It is also plausible that you get a bad trade instead of a checkmate if you did not save your powerful pieces for endgame.

Be aware that killing an enemy Champion after the position swap triggers another swap with the opponent's King.
