(Actual Cost: 10/12/15/16)

The Crusader is a Champion unit. It has the ability to block a normal attack once. (A normal attack is a 'melee' attack: a black Move or Attack square, a Red Attack only square, or a Samurai autoattack.)

In-game tip

  • "The Crusader is especially good against units who must attack from adjacent tiles, such as the Skeleton or Slime."
  • "Unblockable abilities are a good counter to the Crusader's Passive shield."

Strategy: Crusader Edit

Strength: Crusader Edit

Decent price, for its range and ability. Great synergy with Portal, Harpy, WindMage, allowing the crusader to do surprise attacks and reach deep into the opponent's defensive line unscathed, and perhaps even set up great forks with its armor to protect itself. Crusader+++ is also very powerful with its block reaching 2 range in the orthogonal directions, and its five-range reach.

Weakness: Crusader Edit

Short blocking range, weak against long range attacks. Unable to block diagonally. Unable to block Unblockable attacks (such as Wizard, Windmage, and Paladin) nor Magic abilities (such as Pyromancer, Ranger, and Soulkeeper). Can only block once.
